Rejoice the SeasonOn October 3, we received our winter concert music. My first inpression of the music was that it looked very repetitivie. The very first song we got was Rejoice the Season. It doesn't look too hard, but I am looking forward to learning it. I also noticed that there is a lot of accent markings and a lot of dotted notes.

How the Grinch Stole ChristmasThe second song we received is How The Grinch Stole Christmas Concert Medley. My first impression was to be really excited because this is my favorite christmas movie, so I am very excited to play this. The song itself doesn't look hard, it looks fun to play and the entire song is in the key of G Major. One of the major things I noticed is that it switches to a moderate swing tempo.

Once in a Royal David's CityThe next piece is Once in a Royal David's City. I have never heard this before, but it looks fun to play. There's is a lot of sixteenth notes and running up and down the scaled. There's also a lot of changes in time signature and key change. I counted at least three in first glance. This song looks to be a challenge, and I am looking forward to playing it.

Christmas Eve
This song looks to be a challenge, and I am looking forward to playing it. The last song we got was Christmas Eve/ Sarajevo 12/24. The first impression I had was that it was very long, and very repetitive. I also noticed that on the last page, there is a lot of triplets. The song also changes time signature a lot. I am looking forward to playing this song because it looks like more of a challenge. I noticed there was a lot of tempo changes within the song.
